Facebook and Firefox

Are Facebook and Firefox known not to play especially well together? I notice that I cannot confirm a friend request. Also, joining groups is hit-and-miss. I've tried doing this with Firefox 3 Beta 4 and two screen readers (NVDA and Wineyes), with same result. In the case of NVDA, I've tried going to the "confirm" button for friend requests with object navigation, then moving the mouse to the object. Once there, I click the left button. Nothing happens. Also, nothing happens if I just find the button in the tab order and hit either space or enter when the button has focus. With Wineyes, I do essentially the same things and get the same result (or non-result, if you prefer). What gives?

I think many people are contacting firefox with the same issues.
I use IE with it and it works fine.

I don't use Facebook, but I experienced an annoying problem with Firefox too. Every time I would try to open the download manager, it would shut down and give an error message. I use Jaws and I even upgraded to 9 just so I could use Firefox (because I heard it would work, but it didn't.) It's frustrating. I realize it's a more stable browser, but if I can't download stuff, forget it. I'll take my chances with IE.

Dave, use jaws with it. I use facebook with firefox, and it works just fine with jaws and firefox 3.

Well. I guess this might be helpful to whoever else views this.

FYI: I couldn't use much of /facebook with Firefox, regardless of the screen reader used. Tried NVDA, Wineyes6.1, and JFW9. Glad to be rid of all those.
